How do you interpret a house cusp that is at 0° of a sign?
Main Post:
Does this mean the house is influenced by both the sign preceding and the 0° sign? Or just the sign where the house is at 0°?
Top Comment:
Cusps are a highly controversial and subjective topic in Astrology.
It is my personal thought and view that the energies of signs and houses are not as highly defined as many like to believe, however I don't try to tell people what is or isn't true when it comes to Astrology or any modality, really. Think about how each possible placement could be affected either way and cross check it with your awareness and intuitive perception.
Humans dictate a lot of things: what/who God is, science (as we know it now, it changes) and even metaphysical concepts.

What are your house rules for 0 HP/death?
Main Post:
Instead of falling unconscious at 0 HP, my DM house rules the "injured" condition:
Injured
- An injured creature cannot take actions or reactions
- The creature's speed is reduced by half
- Attacks that target the creature are made with advantage
They make death saves as usual. At 2 fails, they fall unconscious. An injured PC staggering to safety adds a lot of excitement.
What are your alternatives/house rules at 0 HP?
Top Comment: I use a demoralized condition. When you reach 0 HP, you're demoralized and have lost the will to fight. You remain conscious, but your attacks are made at disadvantage and saving throws against your spells are made with advantage. I specifically do not decrease speed or make you easier to hit because I want running away to be a valid option. If you take damage when demoralized, your max HP is reduced by the damage dealt and you must make a Constitution saving throw against half the damage or 10 (like a concentration check) to stay alive. If your max HP reaches 0, you're dead. You regain your Constitution modifier + 1 in max HP when you take a long rest (minimum 1). Death saves are gone. If you have 1 HP and take 30 damage, you only drop to 0 and become demoralized - there's no overflow (making Relentless Endurance still very good). At level 14, zealot barbarians cannot be demoralized while raging. They still make the Constitution saving throws against the damage, but don't have disadvantage on attacks nor do they take max HP damage. If they fail one of the Con saving throws, they'll die if they aren't healed before the rage ends. I like this system because there's a clear marker of when the party should consider running away. You're not knocked out of the game at 0 HP, but you're clearly in bad shape. Any hit from that point on could kill you, which creates tension with every dice roll. The max HP damage creates lasting injury that doesn't really contribute to a death spiral in the current fight (like most injury tables would).

Synopsis
Because of a past that he can't let go of, Kawin, a live streamer, is always on the lookout for "ghosts", and considers experiencing paranormal phenomenons as one of his greatest pleasures. By chance, Kawin stays with his aunt and stumbles upon Pluem, a young and lively gardener, whose presence fills Kawin's sadness and loss, thereby igniting a spark of feelings between the two souls. But behind the seemingly normal scenes, there is an unimaginable truth waiting for them. Can this relationship, which is just beginning to develop, be strong enough to withstand the unexpected realities they must face?

I am so excited for this! After Something In My Room, On Cloud Nine, He's Coming To Me, Peach of Time, and even Triage, Dear Doctor, I'm Coming For Soul and Once Again - these BL series dealing with the supernatural/paranormal have become my favorite sub-genre of my favorite genre. And it starts this week!!! 😁😁😁

Would you rather put down 20% or 0% on your mortgage if you had an option?
Main Post:
My husband and I are saving up as much as we can and planning to buy a house in 2 years. Our budget is around $450k.
I want to put down as much as we can because I don’t want to have a very high monthly payment for 30 years, around $3500/month. Also, if one of us loses our job temporarily, that would put us in a tight financial situation.
My husband, on the other hand, would rather use that money to invest instead of putting it into the house. He says he could make way more money from investing, and the gains would cover our unexpected unemployment.
What would you rather do? We’ll use VA loan
Update: wow thanh you, everyone for all of your great advice! Most of people mentioned the PMI for 0%, but fortunately, we’ll be using a VA loan, we won’t have to pay PMI. While 20% down would be my goal, it wouldn’t be wise if we put in everything that we have. Thanks again!

Sounds like your husband is betting on a sure thing with his investments...which is already a red flag. Plus, interest rates are still pretty high, he’d have to have a sustained return on his investment of 7% or better to come out ahead of making a higher down payment. Not to mention the capital gains tax to be paid on said investment if you do need to liquidate it for any reason. Put it to the down payment and don’t forget to keep some cash on hand for “shit happens” type repairs on the house
